Duties performed and responsibilities:o QA Manager for Geordie Howe International Bridge Project between US and Canada, specializing in precast concrete construction. • QA Manager for new Light Rail Transit line in GTA (Etobicoke and Mississauga) area, specializing in quality control of concrete elements. o Provide technical leadership to project teams, including identifying and resolving technical issues and challenges.o Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.o Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and facilitate effective communication between project team members, clients, and other stakeholders.o Conduct risk assessments, develop risk management plans, and monitor project risks throughout the project lifecycle.o Ensure compliance with project standards, regulations, and safety requirements, and maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.o Assisted GeoStructural engineers in design and analysis of various shoring elements.o Field inspections for quality control of various multi-million dollar projects.o Quality control testing such as flow test, slump test, air-meter test and compaction tests.o Complete rebar inspection for coatings, manufacturers test certificates, placement with respect to drawings, spacing, overlap, tying, lap slices, tolerances and bending/re-bending if any. o Assisted in Geostructural design drawings to project managers and Professional Engineers (P.Eng.).o Prepare daily, weekly and monthly technical shoring monitoring reporting and assist in provide recommendations with project managers and Professional Engineers (P.Eng.).o Ascertaining bearing capacity of soil by site inspection. Checking the density and gradation and use of penetrometer when more accurate measurements are necessary. Have evaluated all types of soil as foundation material.
