During my internship, I had the opportunity to work on implementing navigation in rough terrain environments using Mesh Navigation techniques.My work involved: Setting up localization using RMCL (Robust Monte Carlo Localization), Converting Point Cloud Data (PCD) maps to navigable meshes through Poisson Surface Reconstruction using the Open3D library, Simulating and validating the system in both Gazebo Sim and Isaac Sim environments to ensure reliability and performance under varied terrain conditions.This experience allowed me to gain deeper insights into the challenges of robot navigation in unstructured environments and to work with advanced tools in simulation, localization, and 3D reconstruction
