About Aryaman Taore

I’m a Lead ML Engineer and Vision Scientist, working as a research scholar (in preparation for my postdoctoral role) at Stanford. My work sits at the exciting intersection of machine learning and healthcare. Presently, I’m part of the talented team at Beckhoff Automation (in Germany), where we’re pushing the boundaries of industrial AutoML. My expertise centers on developing algorithms for tasks like image classification, object detection, and segmentation. Academically, I\'ve pioneered custom CNNs, enabling precise eye-tracking across common devices - webcams, iPads, and iPhones. This tech paves the way for easy at-home health screenings, spanning a range of ocular (eye) and neuro-developmental (brain) disorders. At Stanford, I am leveraging machine learning to detect visual dyslexia. A cornerstone of this mission is designing ML models inspired by our own visual pathway, which could help both in understanding dyslexia and improving how ML models \"see\". In addition to my academic and professional pursuits, I’m also an entrepreneur at heart. At 17, I founded LazyAz, an on-demand delivery startup that grew to over 50 drivers in under three years. My ambition is to leverage my experience in technology and healthcare to create another startup that makes a meaningful difference in healthcare. 1. Machine Learning Engineer

   At Beckhoff Automation (Germany), I am tasked with leading the development of a new machine learning framework serving our global customer base spread across 75 countries.My work involves the development of AutoML for a variety of industrial data types, including image, time-series, and tabular data. I’m currently focused on creating algorithms for image classification (including anomaly detection), object detection, and image segmentation. As part of my R&D responsibilities, I’ve contributed to the creation of a proprietary neural architecture search algorithm. This work is at the cutting edge of our field and is something I’m particularly proud of.
