About Arya Rod Aliabadi
I was drawn to medicine as a pathway to understand and address disparities in women’s health–particularly the most vulnerable. My early experiences navigating medicine as a low-income, first-generation immigrant have instilled in me the unique empathy I can render to my complex patients during the most difficult times. From high-risk gestation to gynecologic malignancy, my experiences in multiple have affirmed that I have found my home in Obstetrics & Gynecology, for there is no other field that combines my joys in medicine: patient advocacy, sexual health, and cancer disparities.I view the opportunity to train in women\'s health as a lasting duty to help people at their most vulnerable moments. I hope to continue finding innovative solutions to disparities in primary and secondary disease prevention by acting as a liaison between research and delivery system reform. I am committed to each patient, who lives as an extension of their community, and hope to continue learning from each encounter to better heal the next.
