ABOUT ARYAA GUNAVANTE

I’m a graduate student in the Financial Mathematics program at the University of Chicago, expected to graduate in December 2026. My academic background in economics and mathematics, combined with professional experiences in M&A advisory, has equipped me with strong analytical and technical skills that I’m excited to apply to quantitative roles in finance. My interest in the field was sparked by Susquehanna International Group’s Women in Trading Insight Program, which opened my eyes to the dynamic, intellectually rigorous world of quantitative trading and risk-driven decision-making. I deepened this interest through finance coursework at the London School of Economics and hands-on valuation and financial modeling work during my internship at Grant Thornton. At Grinnell College, I graduated with a 3.99 GPA while majoring in Economics and Mathematics. I explored mathematical modeling, probability theory, and decision science in both academic and applied contexts, including a project that modeled legal decision-making and my internship supporting financial due diligence and model building in sell-side M&A transactions. Now, I’m seeking internship opportunities in quantitative trading, risk management, and quantitative analysis. I’m especially eager to learn more about asset and portfolio management, and to grow in roles that involve applying mathematics, programming, and structured thinking to markets and investment strategies.Feel free to reach out at a••••••••@uchicago.edu — I’d love to connect!#quantitativefinance #quant #financialmodeling #dataanalysis #machinelearning #diversityandinclusion
