Part of the Investment team at Phi Capital.Sectors which we prefer are: Healthcare Services, Financial Services, Consumer Brands, B2B, Manufacturing & Tech Enabled services. Sectors we avoid - Real Estate, Infrastructure, Pharmaceutical Products & IT Products. Ticket size of $20-40 Mn. We look to pursue opportunities in companies which are of at least $75 Mn in Sales and are either profitable or have a clear path to profitability. We prefer minority investments and look at primarily unlisted companies. Strategy - Significant minority, Corporate carveouts, Business incubation. Genesis: Phi was conceived with transformation of the Royal Enfield in 2005. Incubate, Scale & Transform business by capital and managerial leverage through deep operational involvement. We specialize working with family businesses. Since 2008, Phi has made 12 Investments across 3 funds over 15 years. We have a strong business advisory board consisting of Mr.Anand Mahindra and Mr. MM.Murugappan and an Independent IC Committee consisting of Kunna Chinniah (Ex MD & Global Head, GIC) and M.Lakshminarayan (Chairman, WABCO India & ex-MD, Bosch India). Phi Capital was started by Anupam Thareja, turnaround expert, who led operational turnaround of Royal Enfield and has led/transformed businesses across sectors, along with Senior Investment partners. We have a team of 9 Operating partners consisting of ex-CXOs with a stellar career track and experience of carrying out business transformation.
