   Working as a Data Architect in conjunction with other Enterprise Architecture resources and IT Leadership to propose and set Enterprise wide technology architecture direction within the information management domain of expertise. •Using data modeling skills/tools for designing information requirements, principles and models, and documentation of the current state and future states of the EIA. • Creating logical data models, design physical file layouts, analyze impact of data changes, and provide consultation to project teams, by using expertise in areas such as modeling, relational database concepts, physical database design and CASE tools like Power Designer 15.3, Power Designer 16.5, CA Erwin 9.2 etc. • Responsible to understand and communicate within a single Information Architecture discipline at Northwestern Mutual, implement applied and strategic architecture processes within Information Architecture practice and mentor Application Engineers, Business Analysts and Project Managers. • Utilizing several IT architecture and IT trends regarding data and content management, data integration, data warehouse, data movement, decision support, reporting, analysis, or data mining to support or develop projects at Northwestern Mutual. • Responsible to work with UDB/AIX, Sybase/HPUX, DB2/Mainframe, MS SQL Server relational and dimensional database concepts, modeling tools, EAI/ETL/EII tools, and enterprise content management technologies. • Using ASG\'s Enterprise Metadata Repository tool (Rochade) to effectively locate, understand, and manage information that supports NM’s daily business operations. • Working with the broader implications of business and technology strategy across the company, while concurrently visualizing the project-level impacts, as well as engaging in data/content management, data integration and business intelligence methodologies and tools • Customizing SAP Powerdesigner using extensions.
