As Sr. Counsel of the Citi global Legal team, I am one of the lead counsel for Citi\'s Platform and Data Services and Digital Assets Initiative with a primary focus on supporting Citi United States, EMEA and APAC ( AU, NZ, SG and HK) businesses in Cash Management, Cross-border payments, and Commercial Card business. My work domain includes Open Banking, Cross-border Tokenised Payment Solutions (Citi Token Services), Cybersecurity, Virtual Assets, CBDC, and RLN initiatives, along with day-to-day business solutions. Accountable for drafting, negotiating, and managing Customer and Vendor/outsourcing contracts, including Digital Asset Platform Licenses and Customer onboarding agreements. Advise Business, Compliance, and Product teams on Data Privacy, GDPR, Data Protection, Information Security, Permissioned Blockchain Financial Transactions, Smart Legal Contracts, Regulated Liability Network and Open Banking.Collaborating with other Citi legal and business teams globally to ensure compliance with overall Citi legal strategy and process management for resolving issues with Customers and Financial Regulators, especially in the US, Hong Kong and Singapore jurisdictions. Coordinating with global external counsel on various Digital/ Virtual Asset Proof of Concepts and other Legal Matters.Reporting to the vertical head Director in the New York office.
