ABOUT ARUN SHARMA

Arun Sharma is pursuing Doctor of Philosophy in the Department of Design at IIT, Roorkee. He is a recipient of “DIC PhD Fellowship” offered by IIT Roorkee ”under the scheme “National Initiative for Design Innovation”. His research area is Additive and Subtracting Manufacturing. He has completed his MTech in Mechanical Engineering ( Manufacturing) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NIT, Hamirpur (Batch 2021-23)He has served as the Maintenance Secretary, Azad Bhawan, IIT Roorkee for the Session 2023-24. He was the Hostel Secretary, Udaygiri Boys Hostel, for the session 2021-22 & 2022-23, Member, Hostels’ Welfare Committee for the session 2021-22 & 2022-23, Training and Placement Representative, session 2022-23, Organising Secretary, ‘SANGRAM’, annual inter hostel sports event 2022-23, Member, COVID Vigilance Committee, Udaygiri Boys Hostel (2021-22). Moreover, he is actively involved in purchasing activities at inter and intra hostel levels. His MTech Dissertation Area is ‘Assessment of the Contribution of Multi-Agent Technology among fundamental technologies of Industry 4.0 using Integrated MCDM techniques viz. Fuzzy AHP, Fuzzy DEMATEL and Fuzzy TOPSIS’He has written one book chapter titled “Hybrid Additive Manufacturing” in the book titled “ Futuristic Manufacturing 2022 : Perpetual Advancement and Research Challenges”, published in Book Series “Science, Technology and Management “by CRC Press, Taylor and Francis He has been interned at IIT, Ropar under the Supervision of Dr Ravi Kant, DoME in the domain of LASER Material Processing (Summer Intern 2022)He was the student ambassador of the global online program organised by NITIE, Mumbai
