Arunava Banerjee is an experienced risk professional with a demonstrated history of over 4 decades in senior executive roles in the banking industry at State Bank of India /Standard Chartered /Ujjivan Small Finance Bank. He has been Senior global executive with experience in leading business across financial services cutting across front-office to back-office. Focused on- Strategic business model innovation and digital transformation & operations - Risk Management and Risk Advisory- Credit Evaluation- Guiding Fintech on regulation and financial soundness- General Management / Supervisory oversight- Risk, control, regulatory & Governance across business & Legal entities- Training and Mentoring. He has 44 years of diverse experience in banking and financial services, both in India and overseas, with specialization in risk management and credit review, having in current employment, led and directed the development and implementation of a risk management framework for a newly licensed Small Finance Bank. Overseas engagements include consulting assignments with a premier investment bank based in Bahrain.As a senior executive in risk management, he held leadership positions across risk disciplines as chief risk officer and including executive committee memberships; responsible for governance and oversight through executive positions since 2015.His experience spans roles across corporate, institutional, consumer and private banking encompassing most aspects of banking. He is proficient in crafting and executing a holistic risk management framework and risk strategy, supporting growth opportunities with balance and collaborating effectively to achieve corporate objectives. He has practical experience in risk management and compliance with particular subject matter expertise in governance, managing credit risk, operational risk, market risk, enterprise-wide risk, technology risk, conduct and compliance, financial analysis, financial risk and corporate finance. He has vast experience in implementation of basic and advance approaches Basel Guidelines and Capital Adequacy Framework. He has seen multiple business cycles including the Global Financial Crisis and led businesses through restructuring and regulatory remediation.He holds a master\'s degree in economics including many executive exposures in Financial and Risk management.
