Data Engineer and Visualization - Supply Chain AnalyticsBuilt an automated supply planning scenario processing and visualization pipeline to streamline planning analysis for business users.Developed a Logic App to monitor SharePoint folder for scenario file uploads every second.Upon file upload, the file is stored in Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and an Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipeline is triggered.The pipeline processes the uploaded file by capturing user inputs, comparing data against SAP records, deleting outdated entries, and writing the final processed data into Unity Catalog tables.Once data is written to Unity Catalog, it triggers a Logic App, which then initiates a Power BI dataset refresh via API.The solution sends automated email alerts to the uploading user, indicating success or failure of the process.Enabled business users to upload, compare, and visualize supply planning scenarios through Power BI dashboards without relying on Direct Query or exceeding Power BI Pro license refresh limits (previously requiring up to 8 refreshes per user).Resulted in improved performance, higher user adoption, and a more scalable, self-service planning workflow.
