About Arum-Jugu Galadima
Arum Galadima is a Full Stack Developer with nearly 3 years of front end web development experience. Noticing he had a significant amount of free time, Arum decided to learn about software. He enrolled in an intensive 5-course program that provided strong object-oriented design/programming experience in Java. Studying 8-hr days, he completed this in 5 months. Wanting to test his new skills Arum began working at a small company as a Data Analyst. Here he was tasked with contacting member companies and maintaining the integrity of the data. Immediately Arum knew there was an easier way, so for the next week he embarked on a mission to automate this task. After one week, Arum built a Java program that allowed a user to parse through a database of company contacts and send an email with current information and requesting an update, all from a single keyword search. This task was meant to be completed over a 3-6 month period, but was completed in 2 weeks.After seeing the utility and magical nature of computer programming, Arum decided to practice web development. Arum is enrolled in the Treehouse Full Stack Developer program, which he is expected to complete in March of 2018. Arum consistently utilizes HTML, CSS, and Javascript to build concise web applications. He is very comfortable with the following technologies and libraries: Bootstrap, Node.js, npm, ExpressJS, ReactJS, jQuery, SASS, AJAX, APIs, Git, GitHub, HTTP, Chrome Developer Tools, and GulpJS. Arum has used these skills and more to build several projects that employ Responsive Design including a website scraper, an Twitter app that integrates Twitter\'s API, and a personal site hosted on Heroku (a more complete list of his repositories can be found on GitHub).Currently, Arum is learning more about ML/AI, particularly with JavaScript, and is trying to figure out ways to create practical tools. He is also rebuilding the website for his podcast, Knowledge Bandits, and building personal sites for others.
