Design Engineer – Aerospace & Automotive Landing Gear, IP & CCB and Product Design (Plastic, Casting, Sheet metal, Machining).Create 3D models of Landing gear and IP & CCB components such as:Instrument panels,Landing Gear, Steering system and CCB (Aerospace & Automotive)Sidewalls, bins, seats, cockpit linings, PSU panels (aerospace)Use CAD software like CATIA V5/V6, 3DEXPERIENCE for part, surface, sheet metal and assembly modeling.Ensure parametric and feature-based modeling for design flexibility and future updates.Design plastic components considering tooling direction, draft angles, wall thickness, ribs, bosses, clip towers, and snap-fits.Perform Class-A surface validation and ensure smooth integration with styling surfaces.Maintain manufacturability according to injection molding and vacuum forming guidelines.Ensure parts are optimized for mass production and ease of assembly.Coordinate with tooling and manufacturing teams to ensure tooling feasibility, undercut elimination, and part ejection.Perform draft analysis, thickness optimization, and ripple/warp risk mitigation.Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD & T) as per ASME Y14.5 or ISO standards.Perform 2D drawing creation, BOM updates, and tolerance stack-up studies for fitment and function.Support design validation planning (DVP & R) in coordination with testing and CAE teams.Incorporate CAE feedback (NVH, thermal, structural analysis) into design iterations.Conduct preliminary stiffness, impact, or drop-test reviews for trims.Prepare and process engineering change requests (ECRs) and engineering change notices (ECNs).Interface with styling, CAE, tooling.Support design reviews, DFMEA sessions, and regular milestone tracking.Adhere to relevant OEM standards (e.g, Airbus, Boeing, Mahindra).CAD Software: CATIA V5/V6, 3DEXPERIENCE PLM Tools: Teamcenter.Standards: ASME Y14.5, ISO 9001, OEM-specific standardsSoft skills :Communication, documentation, problem-solving, collaborative engineering.
