ABOUT ARUL MOZHI MURUGAN

Financial markets fascinate me because they sit at the intersection of numbers and human behaviour. Prices may be driven by fundamentals, but expectations, narratives, incentives, and decision making often shape how markets actually move.During my MBA, I found myself naturally drawn toward finance while also exploring broader interests in strategy, marketing, operations, and technology. Studying markets, analysing companies, and thinking about how capital flows across businesses has become something I genuinely enjoy.My path into finance is slightly unconventional. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology, qualified the UGC National Eligibility Test, and previously worked as an Assistant Professor teaching the subject. My transition into management was driven by a desire to apply behavioural insights beyond academia.In many ways, my interest in finance is a natural extension of behavioural science. Markets are, indeed, not purely mathematical systems; they are complex environments shaped by expectations, incentives, biases, and human decision making.I am also particularly passionate about investing and the intellectual discipline behind it. One word that has been increasingly resonating with me is \"diversification\"; not only in portfolios but also in perspectives, ideas, people, choices, and ways of thinking.
