Built and configured Code_Saturne on WSL to establish a robust CFD workflow for full-scale vehicle aerodynamics.Utilized FreeCAD, Fusion 360, and SolidWorks to convert a full-size scanned Mustang into a parametric CAD model for aerodynamic studies.Implemented Salome’s meshing workflow to generate high-quality computational meshes for the Ahmed body, Mustang base model, and Mustang with aerodynamic components.Performed systematic mesh refinement studies and validated solver accuracy through the Ahmed body benchmark case.Conducted in-depth post-processing in ParaView, analyzing solver results, flow structures, and aerodynamic forces to assess model fidelity and component performance.Defined aerodynamic performance targets (drag, downforce, balance) by integrating insights from a vehicle dynamics model, ensuring aero development aligned with handling and performance objectives.Delivered a repeatable end-to-end CFD pipeline for geometry preparation, mesh generation, solver execution, and results analysis, enabling streamlined aerodynamic development for aftermarket components.
