My specialty: Simplifying complexity, solving problems, and building high-performing teamsHow I do it: Having worked in most areas of the business, I have experience living in the shoes of most, and my temperament brings calm to seemingly complex issues to break them down into manageable and solvable pieces.Problems solved: Digital transformation: with limited resources, technology that was going end-of-life, and other technologies that were outdated meant limitations to growth and visibility. Completed a full transformation of ERP, Marketing, eCommerce, and Data in record time by working closely with business partners to understand current and future needs. A great deal of data but no insights: at a multi-billion dollar company, data was available but was used as straight reporting. Using basic predictive modeling, built a tool to focus the team’s effort for better accuracy and lowered costs. New concept: an established company was looking to bring a new store format with a focus on personalization but bringing an idea on paper was daunting. Working closely with the President and Head of Visual, brought to life their vision with sales associates capable of delivering great service and using tools that everyone expected only specialists could. Protecting margin: walking into a dire situation of excess inventory bloating stores, the bottom line, and reducing open-to-buy. Negotiated a deal with a partner at a rate 10x better than other options in my first 3 months with the company. Bringing out the best: in an organization that was very talented and under challenged, was able to show how much more they could accomplish and they did just that with one great leader emerging and going from analyst to leading the full development team in three years.Each problem could have seemed overwhelming but when simplified, were manageable even in new experiences and issues that were unsolved by others previously. It has helped me contribute well in business and technical leadership roles and being called in to solve problems across many areas of an organization.
