About Art Libera

Art is recognized as a \"creative disrupter\" and has worked for over two decades re-positioning companies as industry innovators in the interior design and home furnishings market. Today, he is a Founding Partner at Design Commerce Agency, and uses design licensing to build important bridges between the best American luxury designers and leading retailers and manufacturers.Concurrently, Art is the Managing Director of The Roger Thomas Collection, an important pioneer in design licensing. Prior to co-founding DCA, he worked with the Wynn Resorts chief designer to develop nearly two dozen design licensing partnerships in sectors ranging from furniture, lighting, decorative bath products, and jewelry. More recently, Design Commerce Agency has developed design licensing opportunities for the best American designers, including Clodagh, Lori Weitzner, Jonathan Browning, Vicente Wolf and Todd-Avery Lenahan.Art’s long involvement in developing design licensing partnerships began with Koroseal Interior Products, one of the world\'s largest suppliers of commercial vinyl wallcoverings. A decade of effort resulted in the establishment of the Koroseal Studios brand, consisting of a premium line of products designed by Evans & Brown, Sondra Alexander, Anya Larkin, Maya Romanoff, Mark Pollack and Roger Thomas. He also built a Continuing Education Unit program on wallcoverings for the industry, funded by Koroseal, to educate their sales representatives and customers, and also architects and interior designers throughout the industry. During this time, he also brought rising star Tracy Reinberg into Koroseal’s line-up by establishing the Artists Series Program.Previously, Art studied hospitality management at California State Polytechnic Institute, then moved to New York and worked at the celebrated ’21’ Club. He returned to California as managing partner at Etienne Associates, a luxury-home development company operating in Marin County and on the Monterey Peninsula.
