About Noel Caban
Since 2018, I’ve been an artist and educator (MFA), focusing my studio practice on themes of displacement, gentrification, housing, redlining, and urban distress. I explore the intersection of materiality, history, and social conditions, engaging deeply with the lived experiences of marginalized communities. In addition to my studio work, I teach and mentor NYC youth, encouraging critical thinking and creative expression among emerging artists. My background as a Creative Director in advertising informs my approach to visual storytelling, communication, conceptual development, design, and curriculum building. With a strong commitment to integrating art and education, I aim to nurture the next generation of socially engaged creators.
