Recruited to partner with infection control, nursing leadership, physicians, and public health on key initiatives within the Department of Quality. Leverage technology to streamline existing workflows and create on-demand project management dashboards across the hospital system. Developed innovative data collection and presentation systems to improve quality of data collected and provide real-time progress on key initiatives. Coached ancillary department managers on new technology platforms to improve understanding and how to overcome barriers impacting patient safety outcomes. Lead a multi-disciplinary team of front-line and leadership to GEMBA process improvement practices, identify barriers, and engage leadership in promoting change. • Created first site specific internal Infection Prevention Website accessible to all staff and providing tip sheets, guidance, education, on-demand HAI data, and HAI Root Cause Analysis, and training videos on a variety of infection prevention topics, • Developed and maintained education/ training module for system-wide nursing on various infection prevention topics including CLABSI and CAUTI SWIM Teams. • Collaborated with local facility, San Diego Department of Public Health, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention epidemiological linked pathogen cluster originating from patient supplies. • Infection Prevention Lead for system-wide renovation/construction plan to replace Pyxis to Omnicell across facility and all five sites.
