About Arthur Findelair

Hey there! I\'m a Machine Learning Engineer with a passion for pushing the boundaries of AI and robotics. My journey has taken me from wrestling with embedded systems in robotics competitions to designing cutting-edge video analysis pipelines that process crazy amounts of data.At Nielsen, I\'m leading a team that\'s pushing the boundaries of media content analysis and audience measurement. We\'re using some pretty cool tech - think a mixture of Transformers and CNNs - to build systems that can understand video content almost as well as humans can. It\'s like teaching a computer to binge-watch TV, but for science! My role extends beyond video analysis – I\'ve also tackled signal processing challenges and developed methods to better understand video streaming consumption habits by analyzing network traffic. I\'ve dived deep into the world of MLOps and cloud technologies, particularly AWS, to deploy and scale our ML models in production environments. This end-to-end experience, from algorithm design to large-scale deployment, has been crucial in ensuring our cutting-edge algorithms make a real-world impact. My background is a mix of electrical engineering and computer science, with a dash of aeronautics thrown in for good measure. I\'ve had the chance to work on some fascinating projects, from gesture-controlled drones to robots that can reason about the world around them. Each project has been a new puzzle to solve, pushing me to learn and grow in areas like computer vision, natural language processing, and large-scale system design. When I\'m not knee-deep in code or debugging ML models, you\'ll probably find me behind a camera. While I\'m fascinated by the potential of generative AI in digital art, there\'s something irreplaceable about capturing real-world moments through photography. It\'s a reminder that amidst our digital innovations, the tangible world still holds unparalleled beauty and complexity.I\'m always on the lookout for new challenges, whether it\'s optimizing distributed computing systems, developing novel deep learning architectures, or pushing the boundaries of autonomous systems. If you\'re interested in AI, machine learning, or just want to geek out about the latest tech, feel free to connect! For a deeper dive into my projects and contributions, check out my GitHub profile (https://github.com/ArthurFDLR) and my portfolio website They showcase my hands-on experience and the real-world applications of my work in AI and machine learning.
