ABOUT ARTHUR THORNTON
With over 30 years of experience, I specialise in developing solutions for complex environmental challenges. Throughout my career, I have built strong collaborations with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders, delivering often varied outcomes for many different stakeholders. I am interested in exploring new ventures where innovation makes possible new business models. My approach focuses on refining these models and aligning them with strategic business plans, targeting the creation of new revenue streams and the successful implementation of solutions. This approach has been successfully deployed with the UK water industry, international projects and across the transportation and hospitality sectors.At the heart of my work is a focus on embracing innovation to drive business development. I have engaged in research collaborations that integrate academic research with industry needs. It is also a great pleasure supporting the growth of numerous MSc and PhD candidates to become respected researchers and professionals in both academia and industry.Currently, I am working on integrating environmental design with societal needs, utilising AI to improve collaboration tools.
