As an accomplished Tooling and Mold Specialist with 30 years of hands-on experience in the injection molding industry, I bring deep expertise in advanced tooling strategies that drive production excellence in the injection molding manufacturing sector. At Mattel, I proudly support Global Tooling and Manufacturing teams in the development and deployment of high-performance molds, partnering from early design approvals through to final mold qualifications.My role involves close collaboration with international mold makers to ensure precision in tool design and seamless alignment with Mattel’s global production goals. I am committed to driving efficiency, reducing cycle times, and delivering sustainable cost savings across programs.I actively contribute to part design reviews alongside Mattel\'s Product Development teams, bringing a strong Design for Manufacturability (DFM) perspective. I conduct thorough plastic mold flow analyses and perform detailed evaluations of 3D models and 2D drawings to ensure the technical feasibility of new molds. Through this process, I help establish optimized cycle time benchmarks by analyzing part geometry, tool design, and machine specifications—ultimately enhancing throughput and operational performance.Beyond tooling development, I provide comprehensive technical support in injection molding operations, mold maintenance, and repair across Mattel’s global manufacturing sites. My focus is always on achieving peak mold performance, reliability, and lifecycle efficiency.In addition to supporting internal operations, I also work closely with overseas third-party injection molding vendors worldwide, providing expert guidance in troubleshooting both injection molding process challenges and mold-related issues. Whether it\'s resolving complex molding defects, improving part quality, or optimizing mold performance, I serve as a technical resource to ensure our external partners meet Mattel’s rigorous manufacturing standards and production goals. Support global operations through business travel to the US, Mexico, China, and SEA.Until 2022, I led the management of 500+ injection molds for 87 injection molding machines running 24/7 at the Montréal plant, covering mold design, toolroom operations, mold maintenance, and production toolmaker technical support.
