Responsible for managing the operation and maintenance of facilities and utility systems to support, increase, and advance the production capabilities of a modern pharmaceutical research and production facility. This includes but is not limited to Municipal and High Purity water systems, Compressed Air and Gas generation, storage and distribution and Waste water treatment. • Including the installation of a high throughput reverse osmosis pretreatment system to overcome high TDS and conductivity in the municipal water supply. This improvement reduced water consumption by over 2M gallons of water in the last eight months of 2018, as well as tens of thousands of dollars in natural gas and electrical savings for the facility. • Improvement to the operational compressed air generation capacity and reliability for the facility. • Developing and implementing the strategies with external resources for reducing water usage and waste water. Development, design and championing the expansion of the facility pure steam generation and WFI storage capacity. This includes ensuring the approvals of the URS /FRS and capital project budget, developing the specifications for a new generator and the WFI storage and circulating system. Creation and implementation of several dozen procedures and policies and provided training to personnel to ensure compliance. Developing Preventive Maintenance programs and ensuring spare parts are procured and available for all maintenance events. Working with various quality records, including change control and deviation remediation. Actively involved in various types of audits, including successful FDA and EU inspections. Budget development and management.
