Lead Systems Engineer-Responsible for the overall Systems Engineering efforts for several Satellite Electronics Subsystems, beginning at project kickoff, which included leading a multi-functional technical leadership team through Requirements Analysis, Partition Allocation, Derivation and Decomposition, and Capture of Feedback, Trades, Risks/Opportunities, and Concept of Operations (CONOPs). Worked with the Prime Contractor to refine requirements, establishing an initial product architecture, technical development baseline, system block diagrams, data-flow diagrams, test equipment diagrams, and Hardware, Firmware, and Software Requirements Specifications. Managed requirements and requirement changes first in Cognition’s Cockpit Requirements Management Environment (RME) then in IBM’s DOORs Next, assessing Requirement Risk, TBD/TBRs, Compliance, Requirement Rationale, Methods of Verification and Verification Approach. Supported multiple Design Review efforts across the Product Lifecycle with the Prime Contractor and End Customer, presenting current status on requirements progress, outstanding issues and clarifications, and the approach to the next design phase-Worked on Test Descriptions for verification test cases, and developed, reviewed with technical leadership and production engineers, and released Test Procedures for Qualification Testing, Acceptance Testing, Vibration, Thermal Cycle, Thermal Vacuum, and EMI/EMC. Managed revisions and approvals to Procedures based on as-run updates.
