Visionary executive whose persuasive leadership drives success through innovative approaches while building stakeholder alliances. With over 25 years of experience I have had the privilege of leading organizations that span all phases of technology development and fielding in both government (~$1.5B ACAT1 programs) and industry P&L (>$500M revenue) senior executive roles. Presently as the Senior Vice President and Business Area Manager of the Leidos Innovations Center, I lead the research and development organization for the Leidos enterprise which is chartered to create, capture, execute, and transition customer funded research and development derived technology and programs crucial for Sector growth. This unique role and organization requires a broad reach across technologies, deep understanding of the corporation and our customers while delivering a successful profitable business. We have successfully transitioned numerous technologies and programs to the sectors while achieving year of year growth and entry in new markets.The Innovations Center is home to over 1200 scientists and engineers who develop cross cutting technologies in cyber security, software, and artificial intelligence / machine learning in addition to sector technology needs in advanced Space-based Overhead Persistent IR Surveillance, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR Sensing, Data Analytics, Autonomy, Vehicle Survivability, Chemical and Biological sensing, RF Sensing, Radiography, hypersonic systems and technologies, and High Power Microwave Directed Energy. This work spans applied research and development through prototype and product development.Prior to joining Leidos, I was the founding Director of Advanced High Speed Weapons for Raytheon Missile Systems. In this P&L role, I was responsible for developing, growing and delivering both offensive and defensive high speed and hypersonic systems to future product lines. As a federal senior executive I led organizations chartered with delivering innovative solutions to the warfighter on time and on budget. Of note, as the Director (SES) of the LRASM Deployment Office, a DARPA/Navy/Air Force co-staffed office, we delivered an ACAT 1C Early Operational Capability of the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile by piloting the new DoD accelerated acquisition model which was the foundation for the Middle Tier Acquisition pathway. Prior federal roles include Program Manager at DARPA Tactical Technology Office, Program Manager at Office of Naval Research, and Advanced Munitions lead at Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, VA.
