   Chaica.Io

   Jan 2019 — Present

   The company was established with the mission of addressing, at any extent possible, the devastating California wildfires. A study was performed to identify the stakeholder, assess market opportunity, and narrow on product-market fit in a beachhead market of fire preventative vegetation management.In 4 months, the Chaica team has developed and piloted a semi-autonomous robotic system for vegetation management on the utility-scale solar farms, wildfire endangered communities, and municipal roadways. The short development was achieved by the razor focus on differentiated R&D while utilizing industrial-grade hardware and software solutions. Tech highlights: ROS, Linux, RPi/NVIDIA Jetson, AWS IoT/RoboMaker/Kinesis, RTK GPS, mmWave radar, low latency teleops with WebRTC.
