Lead the team responsible for development of Nutanix control plane database (NCPDB). NCPDB is a distributed NoSQL database designed for processing cluster operational state (entities), analytics data (time series metric data), alerts, events, etc. NCPDB provides data model that is optimized for cluster management scenarios: ACID operations on a single entity, integrated query model for making analytical queries on top of entity relationship graph, efficient state change notifications, entity-oriented data replication for remote cluster management, etc.Created multi-year vision for NCPDB.Defined crawl-walk-run evolutionary strategy to deliver incremental value over multiple releases.Established engineering processes: work-at-all-time continuous innovation, up-front design, planning, task tracking, unit tests, etc.Optimized collaboration to make distributed team (Bangalore, Seattle, San Jose) more effective.Maintain high quality bar via design reviews and code reviews of the NCPDB and related components.Provide technical and career mentoring to grow the next generation of technical leaders in the team.Influence architecture and design of various components across the company (control plane, DR, etc.).
