ABOUT ARTEM S.
Artem is a Civil Engineering Master’s student and the CEO of YuRide - A tailored rideshare service for Universities. Since graduating from Lassonde with a Bachelor of Software Engineering in 2019, he has brought the company to launch, went on a month-long trip to Israel to study technology entrepreneurship, participated and mentored numerous entrepreneurial events, and has been greatly engaged with the York and Schulich entrepreneurial communities representing the BEST Lab. His mission is to provide a sustainable transportation service to York University and work alongside Dr.Andrew Maxwell and the BEST Lab to enhance entrepreneurial education and initiatives.Artem specializes in communication and executing his ideas. He has over five years of work experience in software development and support. He also has experience in Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Partnerships, and Design Thinking through his venture and engagements.He believes that it is possible to succeed in (almost) anything with a diverse team, correct timing, and passion. Outside of work, Artem is an extrovert, avid outdoors person, and passionate yes-man who enjoys portaging, backpacking, skiing, and exploring the world.Above all, he is an opportunist.
