ABOUT ARRON ARMSTRONG

I am a highly skilled broadcast journalist with more than 20 years of experience in news, sport and current affairs. I have a track record of delivering high quality content and exclusive interviews for television, radio and digital platforms at some of the world’s most trusted news organisations. I’m a first-class communicator, with a collaborative approach and my experience in a breaking news environment where I led small teams working under extreme pressure has honed my storytelling skills in the competitive world of news brands. All skills translatable in the corporate and consumer worlds, and whether my future lies in broadcasting, media or elsewhere, my ability to connect with people and my eye for a particular breaking narrative will be highly valued. The Sky Sports newsroom is a demanding environment to work in, which sets the agenda for quality journalism across the UK and beyond. For seven years, I was a lead anchor dealing with breaking stories, live sport, rolling coverage and big interviews in a calm and professional manner that put viewers at the at the centre of the story. As a producer for the BBC World Service, I enjoyed the challenge of investigating stories, building programmes and working in a small team to tight deadlines and budgets. I\'m passionate about news, sport and current affairs, and my warm, relaxed approach engages the audience and put guests at ease – no matter their profile.
