Project InternProject on “Characterization of Bacterial Biocontrol Agents Associated with Mulberry Rhizosphere” at Central Sericulture Research & Training Institute, Mysore for the duration of 3 months-> Isolation of bacterial strains that have strongly inhibitory effects against Lasiodiplodia theobromae, Fusarium solani, Fusarium oxysporum, Rhizopus oryzae, the causal agents of mulberry root rot, and testing its field control efficiency-> Other research activities experienced during dissertation work • Silkworm rearing, sex separation, egg production, acid treatments of egg sheet for hatching. • Recorded observations on cocoon characteristics • Involved in bioassay experiments on silkworm • Field data recording on growth parameters of mulberry• Mass multiplication of bio control agents and pathogens • Molecular characterization of microbes • Involved in glasshouse experiments
