About Aron English
I have been a professional investor focused on microcap companies since 2006. After graduating from the University of Washington, I started my career on the sell side at a brokerage firm in Seattle. I completed the CFA program in 2008 and then moved to my dream job as a research analyst at a hedge fund in the Bay Area. Between 20••••12, I also spent a year living in Japan researching Japanese small cap equities. In 2014, I had a chance to launch my own hedge fund, 22NW. 22NW is a value-oriented fund that focuses on microcap securities, primarily in the US, but also occasionally in Canada and the UK. We have a multi-year, fundamental view and perform extensive due diligence on our investments. We occasionally become constructively engaged with the boards of companies we invest in. I am currently a director at two public companies: DIRTT Environmental Solutions (DRT.TO on the Toronto stock exchange), a leader in innovative and sustainable interior construction, and Anebulo Pharmaceuticals (ANEB on the NASDAQ), a biotechnology company pursuing a treatment for cannabis overdose.
