ABOUT AROKIA AMALRAJ

I am working in HCL as a Senior Consultant and working in HCL for the last 14 years, during the tenure I have managed multiple customers of HCL and I have a total of 15 years of Experience in mainframe. Currently managing a mainframe team with the size of 25 team members which includes Operations, Scheduling and System Programming Team. I have managed major Datacenter migration Projects related to mainframe and lead the team to perform both the hardware and software migration in mainframe. During the past 14 years in HCL I have worked for almost all the major Insurance and Retails customers of HCL, on the technical background I have a very strong knowledge on z/OS,RACF and have a good understanding of rest of the mainframe technologies like CICS,DB2,IMS, Storage. I am currently performing the mainframe delivery/Lead role which includes managing end to end support for Mainframe team, handling customer requirements and escalation, managing Disaster Recovery exercise of the customer, Managing Quarterly and Yearly Audit(both internal and external Audit of the customer) and meeting the customer SLA. Apart from the Team Lead Role I also involve in recruiting new team members for mainframe team and arrange SME’s for providing required training for the new members and also perform the periodic skill level assessment of my team.
