ABOUT ARNAV VISHWAKARMA
Hi! I’m a high school student researcher interested in microbiology, computational genomics, and antibiotic resistance. My research focuses on understanding how bacterial pathogens evolve resistance and identifying new strategies to slow the spread of resistance genes. I work primarily with computational approaches that integrate genomics, transcriptomics, and structural bioinformatics to study bacterial systems and discover potential therapeutic targets.I’ve worked on projects ranging from computational discovery of β-lactamase inhibitors to genomic and structural analysis of the essential ribosomal biogenesis GTPase CgtA. More recently, my work has explored conjugation-associated Type IV secretion systems in Pseudomonas aeruginosa to identify vulnerabilities that could disrupt horizontal transfer of antibiotic resistance genes. My research has been recognized at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair and the Washington State Science and Engineering Fair. I’m always excited to connect with people interested in microbiology, bioinformatics, and infectious disease research.Email: v••••••••@gmail.com
