About Arnav Tapadia

I\'m a senior at Cornell University majoring in Applied and Engineering Physics with minors in Data Science and Business. I’m passionate about applying machine learning to solve real-world problems. My current work is in AI alignment and time-series forecasting and previously I worked as a vehicle dynamics performance and simulation capabilities engineer at Mercedes Formula One Team for a year! My background in physics gives me a unique perspective in modeling complex systems, while my data science expertise helps me develop robust ML solutions. I am excited to apply these skills to the real world to solve difficult and complex problems.

   Competed with nationally ranked project team designing and building an ATV from scratch every year to compete in the triannual Baja SAE Collegiate Design Series• Improved overall system integration, vehicle performance and vehicle dynamics analysis using sensor data and track tests• Led performance testing group of ~5 to create physical track obstacles and facilitate testing and sensor data collection• Developed Simulink quarter-car and half-car models to correlate suspension parameters and frequencies with track data• Designed a rear steering rack using SolidWorks & FEA to increase overall manoeuvrability, improving packaging and slop• Took over responsibility for complete steering system manufacturing and assembly in Spring 2022
