ABOUT ARMOND M. ESMAILI
As a practicing internist at UCSF Health, I care for adult patients in the hospital, short-term rehabilitation, and perioperative clinic settings. As the Director of Quality and Safety for Neurological Surgery, I lead and oversee the Department\'s enterprise that continuously improves the quality, safety, and value of care for patients with neurosurgical disorders. I have extensive training in patient safety, quality improvement, and change management methodologies and frequently coach providers across UCSF Health. As the former medical director of UCSF Health’s Respiratory Isolation Unit and assistant director of UCSF Health’s direct-care hospitalist service, I have extensive experience in hospital operations and an established high-performance record of leading teams across a complex clinical enterprise.
