Reporting to Sr. Director of Translational Research and CEO:As a Senior Applications Engineer and a member of the Translational Research team, I contribute to the design review, validation, and applications of the world’s First in Human (FIH) Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) system. My role involves ensuring system compliance with quality and regulatory standards, supporting clinical research efforts, and providing technical insights to enhance system functionality for human imaging studies. I collaborate with engineering and software teams to troubleshoot system issues, optimize performance, and prepare the system for human clinical trials. Additionally, I work with external research institutions and major hospitals, to design experiments, and collecting and analyzing imaging data, and supporting publications and grant proposals.Contributions- As a subject matter expert, participate and contribute in design review meetings, ensuring that FIH-MPI system aligns with clinical and research requirements- Support IRB approval processes and collaborate with clinical researchers to integrate MPI technology into human imaging studies- Supported development and execution of Verification & Validation (V&V) test protocols, ensuring adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory frameworks and standards- Serve as a technical bridge between engineering, software development, and translational research teams, providing critical feedback to enhance system functionality and reliability- Perform imaging experiments to measure sensitivity, dynamic range, and resolution of the system using different magnetic particles- Engage with major hospitals and universities, such as MD-Anderson Cancer Center, Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University, in designing experiments, collecting imaging data, and contributing to publications and grant applications- Design applications specific and anatomically relevant phantoms for imaging.
