ABOUT ARMIN SCHNEIDER

As part of the SAP HANA Development organization, the \"HANA Technology Innovation Network\" unit specializes in the optimization and certification of infrastructure to serve the demands of SAP HANA and SAP HANA Cloud workloads. We engage with all infrastructure partners, including semiconductor designers, hardware vendors and hyperscalers, to ensure their offerings deliver superior performance and scalability. Our comprehensive co-innovation framework and performance validation tools function as a crucial quality gate, facilitating the seamless integration of new infrastructure technologies for our \"SAP Rise\" and \"SAP Grow” customers while upholding the highest standards for SAP HANA.In his previous role, Armin has been working as a (Chief) Project Manager and Product Owner in different software projects for 8 years. In his recent Project, he was responsible for the SAP HANA Cloud and SAP HANA Database port to the ARM architecture, where multiple Agile and self-managing teams were working together towards the common goal of releasing both products on AWS Graviton processors.In general, he is responsible to develop the product vision, roadmap, backlog and to closely work with the development teams and all involved parties (User Experience - UX, User Assistance - UA, Product Management - PM) to ensure the product delivery.Before that, he was an IT-Architect and was working in the area of large scale virtualization environments for 6 years. Working in different roles he was responsible for managing the service, escalations, the architecture of global virtualization environments and he was leading the implementation of the infrastructure and its orchestration software stack. In his career he worked with several locations like America, Canada, Singapore, India, South-Korea and Vietnam.
