Diversity Implementation Team Coordinator @State of Rhode Island
I am currently on loan to the Department of Administration to assist with implementation of Governor Lincoln Chafee\'s Executive Order 13-05 entitled \"Promotion of Diversity, Equal Opportunity and Minority Business Enterprises in Rhode Island\". The Department of Administration, under the leadership of Director, Richard Licht, was tasked by Governor Chafee to implement the Executive O. The department staff and leadership subsequently put forth (17) specific recommendations to be implemented in support of the goals and mission of the Governor\'s Executive Order. My role, per request of Governor Chafee and Director Licht, is to lead the Implementation Team in moving forward with the recommendations suggested. As of July 2014, the Department of Administration\'s Diversity Implementation Team has either completed or made significant advancements towards implementing (11) of the (17) original recommendations. A comprehensive update report on progress to date will be submitted to Governor Chafee in the near future.
