ABOUT ARMANDO GARZA
A proven manager with over 46 years of experience in Project Management, Risk Management, Project Controls, Engineering, Procurement and Contracts. I have applied my proven expertise and ongoing professional development to meeting and exceeding all objectives put before me, receiving many positive comments from clients and external review teams regarding the Risk Assessment Programs at CNS (Y-12 & Pantex), SRNS and LANL. A proven achiever; responsible for managing the development of budgets, schedules, and risk events for DOD, DOE & NNSA programs & projects. Most recently, at CNS I led the installation of the Projects Risk Management Program, to include risk assessments for several Line Item Projects. While at Savanah River Site (SRNS), I assisted in their Risk Enterprise Program by introducing qualitative and quantitative risk assessments as an improved method to enable SRSN Sr. management to make decisions based on statistical analysis. At LANL, I produced the first-of-its-kind Annual EAC and Risk Assessment for the CMRR projects, this effort required intense monitoring and several discussions with project management. As a leader, I dedicate my available free time to coach new employees, guiding them in the right direction and allowing them to develop on their own. I have strong beliefs based on my experience, but I hold an open mind to constructive criticism. My dedication to results-driven management, as well as my critical and analytical thinking; and problem-solving skills, has helped me establish performance reporting systems across project departments and disciplines. I am a Change Champion, always looking for process improvements. I boast an interesting history of project management experience. I welcome all challenges. I have managed client relations abroad for the first-of-its-kind Nuclear Reactor Projects in China. In Peru, I managed the transportation of employees over 250 km and the housing and catering for employees; I was also responsible for assisting in the infrastructure construction for a $7.2 billion copper concentrator project.
