Armando Briquet is Senior Vice President of Crisis and ReputationManagement, a position from which he reports directly to Newlink President and CEO, Sergio Roitberg.Armando\'s extensive experience as a political and communicational advisor and strategist, developed in complex arenas, brings a very valuable contribution in the planning and coordination of our crisis management practices, focused on those situations in which a client’s threatened reputation requires fast intervention. Also, in that other lengthy career that is the long-term management of individuals and organizations’ reputation, the skill Armando contributes to the communicational strategies universe, decisive in today’s multicultural and hyper-connected world, is a great asset for Newlink.Experienced in piloting campaigns in adverse situations, over the course of 20 years his duties as a strategist have included different electoral processes in Venezuela; while outside his country, his experience includes coordinating and designing campaigns in Mexico, Ecuador, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Bolivia, and Aruba.With this international profile, it’s not surprising that Armando is a frequent guest at scenario-building and campaign management symposiums and conferences. He has been a Central University of Venezuela professor, where he teaches a workshop at the School of Political Studies.Born in Caracas in 1970, Armando is the founder of Machina, Inteligencia Estratégica consulting firm. He’s a lawyer, graduated from Central University of Venezuela and a Financial Law Specialist from Andrés Bello Catholic University; he’s also done various studies in public policy, history and electoral campaigns.For 10 years he was a member of his country’s National Swimming Team. Today, with his time and effort focused on other types of competitions, he continues to be a fan of swimming and baseball.
