Responsible for general liability, first/third party property damage, auto/trucking, worker’s compensation claim oversight and management of day-to-day safety issues- Analyzing and mitigating risk by identifying issues and implementing prevention solutions- Report, investigate, and process all Worker’s Compensation, Property Damage, Auto/Trucking and General Liability cases - Work with management and HR to conduct investigation on reported incidents - Obtain and disclose video surveillance - Follow up regularly with customers, employees, store management, physicians/therapists, insurance adjusters, insurance brokers, and legal counsel to ensure timely resolution of claims, especially managing return to work and light duty programs- Maintain accurate, thorough, and organized files on all employee and customer cases - Build and maintain relationships with insurance carriers, adjusters, brokers, providers, and store/warehouse personnel - Maintain clinic/vendor relationship and ensure invoices for drug screens are paid timely - Prepare claim status informational materials in advance of quarterly claim review meetings - Assist in the yearly policy renewal process - Ensure departmental compliance with State and Federal Employment Practices and Laws including OSHA regulations - Continuously develop and implement department policies, procedures, and programs to mitigate risk - Conduct safety surveys/audits and implement recommendations to mitigate risk and prevent future employee or customer accidents - Train and develop store level employees in documenting accident reports and maintaining safe practices and procedures - Facilitate required safety training and certifications for employees and store management - Conduct safety presentation at new-hire on-boarding class - Complete risk management analytics for review, analysis, and planning - Provide recommendations to the Project Managers regarding equipment and/or building upgrades
