I’m a design team member at Carmel Beat, the student-led publication of Mount Carmel College. We create and edit our monthly newspaper, visually shaping stories, opinions, and ideas that resonate with our audience. We address societal issues truthfully and transparently, embodying our tagline: “We Write for Your Right.” My responsibilities include designing layouts and graphics that enhance the reader’s experience. As a passionate leader and creative thinker, I strive to make the most of every opportunity. Currently pursuing Journalism and Mass Communication at Mount Carmel College, I am dedicated to exploring storytelling, media, and social impact.At Mount Carmel, I contribute to The Carmel Beat, our student-led publication, as part of the photography and design teams. We document stories, opinions, and ideas addressing issues in society with truth and transparency under our tagline, “We Write for Your Right.” I cover campus events, capture moments that reflect student life, and design layouts for our monthly newspaper, ensuring visually engaging storytelling that aligns with Carmel Beat’s voice.Previously, I represented my school in international exchange programs across Bhutan, Indonesia, and Thailand, experiences that expanded my understanding of global cultures and the value of collaboration. I led the Psychology Club and served as Newsletter Head for both the club and the school media team, honing my skills in writing, design, and team management.My creative journey also includes photography, videography, editing, and theatre, where I contribute through performances and art installations that blend contemporary and traditional practices.Additionally, I have organized and led major school events such as TEDx, Round Square Conferences, and the Critical Thinking Round Table Conference, blending leadership with event management to create meaningful experiences for my peers.With a commitment to using the media as a tool for positive change, I am eager to continue telling impactful stories, amplifying voices, and growing within journalism, creative communication, and social impact media.
