Adzuna is a job search engine that is currently in 19 countries with its headquarters in London. When I started Adzuna, they were a start up 7 years in, since then I’ve been through 3 acquisitions with the company (Work In Startups, GetWork, Seiza) and our revenue has grown exponentially primarily in the US market which I’ve been a focal part of. Initially my career at Adzuna started on the U.K. sales team pitching a new Shortlist product to businesses that would provide them with candidates for whatever roles they were recruiting for. As we were pitching a “start-up within a start-up product”, resources were limited and all of the responsibilities of sourcing leads, pitching to prospects, sourcing candidates, and managing the whole apply - hire process fell under my responsibility. Considering I was the first sales hire for the revamped team I was a focal point of creating and implementing processes for the growing space training and enforcing process to any new team members.
