Görlitz, DE

LOGdrone GmbH is a deep-tech spinoff built upon three years of my dedicated research and development in drone technology at the Center for Advanced Systems Understanding (CASUS), Helmholtz‑Zentrum Dresden‑Rossendorf. I was entrusted with the mission to coordinate and commercialize this innovation. As Project Manager, I oversee the development of hydrogen-powered tethered drone systems enhanced with AI for aviation and infrastructure inspections.Within the AI4Mobility initiative, I coordinate the German segment of the project in collaboration with a consortium of leading research and technology partners. Together with the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology (ILK) at TU Dresden, we focus on developing lightweight hydrogen storage systems and integrating composite airframe structures. The Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology (IWU) in Chemnitz supports the project with system simulation, energy management, and advanced testing for mobile robotics. GermaniumComposites GmbH contributes expertise in multifunctional composites for structural elements and cable shielding adapted to drone platforms. AEF – Autonom Elektrisch Fliegen gGmbH in Kamenz provides testing infrastructure and know-how in hydrogen propulsion, autonomous navigation, and AI-based flight technologies. Our flagship platform – the SkyScan System – is a hydrogen tethered drone for real-time inspection of aircraft, logistics sites, and infrastructure. We are also in active dialogue with Lufthansa Technik’s Innovation Department and the AI Department at Hochschule München, both expressing interest in pilot use and collaborative development. My role spans R&D coordination, public funding acquisition, and commercialization planning. LOGdrone’s mission is to revolutionize inspection via sustainable, autonomous aerial systems at the intersection of AI, mobility, and hydrogen tech.

ABOUT ARKADIUSZ ZUREK

Project Manager | PhD Candidate | Expert in Logistics 4.0, Drone Technology & Green HydrogenI currently lead the international MinGenTec project at IHK Cottbus (Germany), supporting innovation implementation and technology-driven internationalisation – particularly in the fields of green hydrogen solutions and energy transition. At the same time, I am pursuing a PhD at Wrocław University of Science and Technology (Poland), specializing in the integration of advanced technologies in logistics, with a particular focus on UAV applications. At the Center for Advanced Systems Understanding (CASUS) in Görlitz, I contribute to cutting-edge research in autonomous systems and Industry 4.0. Based on my scientific work, I co-founded the technology spin-off LOGdrone GmbH and assumed the mission of coordinating the development and deployment of the AI4Mobility project – a hydrogen-powered drone system supported by AI for infrastructure inspection and aviation applications. With 15+ years of experience in logistics, I’ve held senior roles including General Director at the Institute for Innovation and Modern Technologies in Logistics (Instytut INTL), where I managed international automation projects. As R&D Director at NeuroSpace and Business Development Manager at INTL Robotics, I developed AI, Machine Learning–, and automation-based other logistics solutions.Academically, I combine doctoral research with postgraduate education in Supply Chain Management. As a guest lecturer, I’ve taught at institutions including the University of Quebec in Montreal (Canada), IBA Academy (Denmark), VŠTE (Czech Republic), Patrium University (Romania), and Hochschule München (Germany).I collaborate with TU Dresden, Fraunhofer IWU in Chemnitz, Czech Technical University in Prague, and AEF – Autonom Elektrisch Fliegen gGmbH in Kamenz (Germany), as well as the Odense Robotics Cluster (Denmark) and American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) in Reston, Virgnia (USA). My work centers on sustainable UAV systems, hydrogen innovation, and industrial automation. As a member of the Logistics Committee at the German-Polish Chamber of Commerce (AHK), I help shape policy and foster cross-border cooperation in logistics, infrastructure, and innovation across Poland, Germany, and the EU. Member of the Project Management Institute (PMI®), continuously expanding expertise in project management, innovation processes, and strategic leadership.
