ABOUT ARKADIUSZ ZJAWIN
Joining Dewson Architects in 2014, I brought on extensive experience in fabrication, project delivery and small building designs. In addition to being detail oriented I am fascinated by low energy use buildings and material reuse in construction. My Certified Passive House Designer designation is a great addition to being a licensed architect with the Ontario Association of Architects. My experience spans across Ontario, New Brunswick, and Montana in the design, coordination, and project administration of numerous urban and rural residential properties, as well as various commercial projects. My journey in architectural academia started with studies in Poland; further expanded, gaining technical knowledge of Canadian construction methodology at Humber College, and concluded at Ryerson University (currently known as Toronto Metropolitan University) where I attended to complete my Bachelor of Architectural Science and Master of Architecture degrees. I have had an opportunity to participate in academia both as a Graduate Assistant while at Ryerson University as well as an instructor at Humber College delivering courses for internationally trained professionals. Outside of architecture, my passion for sustainability and preservation of embodied energy is manifested in my hobby of restoring motorcycles.
