ABOUT ARKA DAS
I\'m a communications consultant, journalist, visual artist and musician. I have been a journalist for over 25 years now, being associated with some of India\'s leading media houses, including Hindustan Times, The Indian Express, The Telegraph and currently, as a consultant with The Times of India. I play drums professionally and have worked with some of the best-known independent pop and rock artistes to emerge from India over the past 25 years. I work extensively in Kolkata theatre. I also work as a professional artist and illustrator, and have showcased my art in group exhibitions, primarily works in ink and watercolours. Over the past decade, as an editorial consultant, I have found my space in cross-platform media. I have a special interest in all forms of performance and visual art, and in intangible heritage, with a focus on folk forms and conservation ecology. Theatre, cinema and graphic novels remain my abiding passions. Some day, I will publish those comics.
