Highlighted Projects and Involvement: Region of Waterloo – Waterloo LRT Phase 1 - Responsible for CADD file management and submissions of IFC drawings and as-built record drawings - Analyzed as-built track geometry deviations for overall safety of the track and anticipated future maintenance efforts - Reviewed technical submittals and prepared responses to RFIs based on design requirements, specifications, and constructability - General drafting and RFI revisions to CADD drawings Canadian National Railway - Malport Yard Intermodal PAD Phases 2C to 2E - Design of horizontal track alignments, vertical profiles and associated track grading throughout the yard, which included considerations for installation of future yard tracks - Prepared 3D model of the paved storage area to generate plans, cross sections, and earthwork quantities - Simulated truck movements using AutoTURN and designed vehicle entrance and exit points - Coordinated the design effort with drainage team to design existing ditch modifications and a new stormwater management network GO Transit - Metrolinx – Kitchener Corridor Expansion - Drafting and design related to grading, plan drawings, typical sections, alignment modifications, drainage design and property acquisition requirements - Prepared associated grading and earthworks quantities resulting from proposed track construction - Evaluated technical alternatives, resolved technical issues, and interfaced with other disciplines GO Transit - Metrolinx – Permanent Slow Order Review (PSO) & Engineering Track Charts - Prepared report to assess all existing PSOs on all Metrolinx-owned subdivisions - Reviewed operating diagrams, time tables, and summary bulletins for each subdivision to identify location and reasoning for each PSO - Researched and referenced GO Transit Track Standards, Canadian Railway Operating Rules, Metrolinx’s Signal Sighting Distance Design Standard and other applicable standards, codes, and regulations
