ABOUT ARJUN ARJUN P JAICHANDRAN
My academic and professional journey has been driven by a deep commitment to understanding and contributing to social development. I hold a Bachelor\'s degree in Political Science Honours from the University of Delhi, where I explored the intricacies of political systems and ideologies. Building on this foundation, I pursued a Master’s in Social Work with a specialization in Community Development (MSW) from the Department of Social Work at Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh. This program enriched my perspective on grassroots engagement and sustainable development strategies.My hands-on experience includes an internship at the Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses (SPYM), Delhi, where I was actively involved in community-based interventions. This experience further solidified my interest in working directly with communities to bring about meaningful change.I previously served as Executive: Social Initiatives at Mathrubhumi, where I worked for one year and four months, leading and supporting impactful social programs. This role allowed me to apply my academic knowledge in real-world contexts and deepen my understanding of community outreach and strategic program implementation.Currently, I am an Assistant Professor at the Postgraduate Department of Social Work (MSW), Madras School of Social Work, where I am committed to shaping future social work professionals. Through teaching, mentoring, and research, I aim to bridge academic insights with field realities and contribute to the broader discourse on social justice and community empowerment.
