ABOUT ARJAN VAN TONGERLO

Security analyst with 4+ years of experience in consulting and geopolitical analysis and an MA in Security Studies from Georgetown University. I have helped public and private organizations mitigate risks and identify opportunities through multidisciplinary, team-based strategies. I lived in Europe for 23 years I\'m passionate about all things geopolitics and foreign affairs. My work includes:• - I have experience analyzing political trends and policies to help understand opportunities and risks in today\'s global economy by looking at socio-political, economic, and technological developments.• - Worked on 10+ student consulting projects to provide a variety of risk analyses and assessments for clients. Through a multidisciplinary approach, I have combined my background in the social sciences, economy, risk management, and IR to provide strategic recommendations and implementation plans.• - Developed future scenarios for organizations to help identify plausible possibilities diverging from preconceived notions and current circumstances. This has helped various organizations identify gaps in business continuity management and strategic thinking.• - Over the past year, I have produced 5 articles on a variety of geopolitical topics. I enjoy mastering the art of writing and providing succinct academic and op-ed analyses of contemporary issues to produce a better understanding of existing and developing global trends.
