About Arion Elam
As a sophomore at St. Francis College, I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Neuropsychology, driven by my fascination with the brain\'s impact on behavior, cognition, and emotions. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a strong foundation in the biological and psychological principles that shape human experiences. My coursework has allowed me to explore diverse areas, including neuroanatomy, cognitive neuroscience, and behavioral psychology, all of which continue to deepen my interest in understanding the complexities of the human brain.I am particularly passionate about exploring the intersections between neurobiology and mental health, and I am eager to apply this knowledge through hands-on experiences such as internships, research opportunities, and clinical settings. With a growing interest in brain disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions, and cognitive rehabilitation, I am excited to contribute to the field through both research and practical applications. As I continue to learn and grow, my goal is to make meaningful contributions to the study of neuropsychology, focusing on enhancing treatments for neurological conditions and advancing our understanding of the brain. I am actively seeking opportunities that allow me to apply my knowledge, develop new skills, and engage with professionals in the field.

Ra Paraprofessional Intern
May 2025 — Present · Brooklyn, NY, US
As a Psychology Intern at iBrain, I supported multidisciplinary teams working with children and adolescents with acquired brain injuries and neurodevelopmental challenges. My responsibilities included observing therapeutic sessions, collecting behavioral and cognitive data, and assisting in the implementation of individualized education and therapy plans. I helped monitor students’ progress, documented key behavioral patterns, and participated in team discussions focused on intervention strategies and student well-being. This role deepened my understanding of neuropsychological assessment, trauma-informed care, and the role of interdisciplinary collaboration in pediatric rehabilitation.
